This exciting vendor co-op offers interesting antiques in various forms, affordable reproductions, furniture, glassware, pictures, wrought iron pieces, and much more. Browse through their many rooms overflowing with wonderful items from vendors such as The Bright Thistle, Emily’s Attic, Chelsea Station, Grandma’s Closet, Country Thyme, Memorie Faire and many others. You’ll find everything from true antiques to home décor, jewelry and gifts housed in the stunning old building, which is complete with the original crystal chandeliers! One of Hawley’s most diversified antiques shops, MISS ELLY’S ANTIQUES & SUCH is a friendly multi-dealer establishment housed in an 1870 Victorian. Easily located at 518 Church Street, the shop is just three doors off Main Avenue (Route 6) in Hawley’s historic downtown (across from Teeter’s Furniture). At Miss Elly’s you will discover affordable treasures from smalls to furniture, glass, pottery, paintings and prints, vintage clothing and textiles, primitives, and more. There is also a selection of imported gourmet and specialty foods including tempting British marmalades, buttery Scottish shortbreads, and other goodies. The old Gothic Revival building itself is a must-see with its center gable, tin roof complete with original “snowbirds,” flattened arch-effect windows and full-length one-story porch with decorative brackets. Still boasting lovely old glass in her seven-light transom and five sidelights, Miss Elly’s should not be missed when visiting the Hawley-Lake Wallenpaupack area. COLONY VILLAGE ANTIQUE & FLEA MARKET in Analomink is an indoor and outdoor market, open to the public on Saturdays & Sundays from 9:00am to 5:00pm. Find great buys in a historically beautiful and natural atmosphere. The continually varying selections you’ll discover here include antique & vintage collectibles, furniture, new & used household items, books, dishes, designer clothing, baby gear and much, much more. THE GLASS HAT on Route 191 in Hamlin (½ mile south of Hamlin Corners) is a one owner shop highlighting two floors filled with elegant antique & modern glassware, antique oak & country furniture, collectable & estate jewelry, pottery, Depression glass and more. A leisurely browse through the general line of antiques and collectibles here also includes some pleasant surprises. Tea connoisseurs will be happy to discover tea cups & saucers, tea pots and lots of interesting tea things. Another highlight is the Christmas Room featuring old Santas, old & new ornaments, even Christmas China! There’s also a whole section devoted to old and antique kitchenware, with items perfect as decorator accents for your kitchen. THE FAINTING GOAT, Route 191 in Hamlin. “Something old, something new, treasures waiting just for you!” The Fainting Goat is an inviting shop located on the first floor of a historic 200-year-old stone farm house along Route 191, half-way between Route 84 and Hamlin Corners. The house boasts 7 fireplaces, including a bake oven hidden behind kitchen cabinets installed in the 1920’s. The 42-inch front door even features the original fan-shaped window. Inside the co-op shop, a number of vendors offer an eclectic collection of antiques and new treasures, including furniture, glassware, jewelry, linens, post cards and political memorabilia. A visit to the Fainting Goat is sure to evoke a warm welcome and pleasant atmosphere from the past to the present. Their hours are Fridays, Saturdays & Sundays from 10:00am to 5:00pm. COUNTRY ROOTS, located on Route 209 in Brodheadsville behind the Grant Homes building. This a must-visit on your next mountain shopping adventure. Antiques and antique furniture are a highlight here, joining local artisans’ creations, crafts, candles, florals, baskets, pottery, jams and everything nice.
